Dismiss

Fire. Terminate/end the employment relationship (let go). Dismiss means ending the employment relationship, commonly known as firing, terminating, or letting someone go. Employers can dismiss employees at any time but their reasons for doing so may give rise to claims for wrongful dismissal. 

Dissolution

End. Dissolution means the process of a non-profit ceasing to exist as a legal entity. It is the opposite of incorporating the non-profit.

Due Diligence

Careful attention. Taking care to act reasonably in managing risk;  or making informed decisions to avoid bad outcomes. For example, reading product reviews before making an informed purchase is exercising due diligence. For a non-profit, an example of due diligence is conducting a thorough investigation into an allegation of the misuse of funds.

Duty to Accommodate

Human rights obligation. Actions an employer must take to enable a worker with a disability to perform their job duties. These actions include adjusting rules, policies, and practices to enable their full participation. Adding a wheelchair ramp to make the workplace accessible is an example of an accommodation.
