Send money. An employer is required to deduct certain amounts from employees’ wages and income tax, employment insurance, and CPP which must be sent to the federal government. Another example is union dues which must be sent to the union.

Payment for services. Money paid to someone for their work or services.

Accounting practice. A review engagement is a review of the financial statements to determine if any material modifications need be made for them to conform to the financial reporting framework. A review engagement is less expensive than an audit, but it only tells the non-profit if its financial statements are consistent with commonly accepted accounting practices.

Assess potential liability. Anticipating and planning for something unexpected that might happen in the future.
